A Great Season

What a wonderful summer this has been! The weather was sublime and it seems to have lasted well into the Fall.
Many thanks to those who decided to forego the beckoning beach and enjoy the Studio Tour in July. It was terrific to see old friends and make some new ones.
Art On The Fence, held the first weekend in August was extra special this year as it was combined with the Art Walk. This meant that all along the High Street, from the Southampton Art Centre  down, were artisans. It was a beautiful day!
The August Show, usually held at Sauble Beach, was replaced with our new Signature Show, held Pumpkinfest Weekend in Port Elgin. It was a new experience for the Shoreline Artists, but one worth pursuing.
So another year of shows is behind us.Thanks to those who purchased my paintings. I hope they bring you much enjoyment over the years.
In October, I was lucky enough to attend an art workshop in Boone, North Carolina with the awesome Frank Francese. It was a fantastic week with such an accomplished and well known painter. I am looking forward to seeing how watching him work will influence my own paintings!

Summer Art Shows are Coming!

The first show of the season is just around the corner! Shoreline Artists Studio Tour is a free, 'drop in' to the studios of many artists in Port Elgin, Southampton and my favourite, Sauble Beach! Artwork is presented for your viewing; artists are there , should you like to strike up a conversation and artwork,in many mediums, is for sale. It takes place on Saturday, July 9 from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday the 10th -10 to 4 pm. My studio will have many watercolours, some "decor" acrylics and art cards/photo cards. I'd love to see you there.  Follow the signs to 435 Simcoe Ave, Sauble Beach!

On July 30th ( rain date is the 31st) is Art On The Fence....an art show held at Chantry Breezes on the High Street in Southampton. It is part of a much larger Art Walk, including all types of art , some music and theatre. A great day to wander up and down the High Street and visit the fantastic Southampton Arts Centre. The Gallery is truly spectacular!

Welcome Back!

I know, it's been a long time! I could bore you with the details or just get on with it!
This year is a new beginning for my artwork. My focus is still the beaches and shorelines of Lake Huron, but hopefully some new techniques and colour combinations has given it a fresh look. This year's Studio Tour will be July 9-10 up at Sauble Beach. The Shoreline Artists Studio Tour has about twenty studio locations with artists from Kincardine to Sauble Beach. If you are up there to enjoy a day at the beach or maybe the whole weekend, please drop by the cottage(my summer studio) to see my work. Though primarily watercolour, there are a few acrylic paintings and , of course, greeting cards. Here are a couple of paintings that I have been working on.
